Vox Pop Branding LLC presents Mo’s Crib, a limited celebration of African craftsmanship, design and the extraordinary hands behind it.

For a few days only, Los Angeles is invited to step inside a world of handwoven magic, with more than 10,000 handcrafted pieces across over 300 styles making their way from Africa to Los Angeles.

Discover craftsmanship from South Africa, Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya and Malawi, and explore pieces made from some of the continent’s most beautiful, natural and unexpected materials.

At the heart of the exhibition is Mo’s Crib’s own story of material transformation. As one of South Africa’s leading manufacturers transforming recycled PVC into contemporary homeware, discarded material is given an entirely new life in the hands of skilled artisans. PVC is carefully prepared and intricately woven by hand into Mo’s Crib’s signature baskets, now among the brand’s most recognised and widely exported pieces.

But that is only the beginning.

Explore pieces made from banana bark, raffia and natural fibres, materials that are carefully prepared, shaped, wrapped and woven by hand using techniques and skills carried from one generation of makers to another.

Every single piece has been touched by human hands.

Look closely and you will see it in the intricacy of the weave, the variation in the fibres and the small details that make handmade objects impossible to replicate exactly. These aren't simply objects for the home. They are pieces with an origin, a material, a maker and a story.
